i dig basketball.

I watched my first basketball match since seemingly forever, the Olympic match between China and New Zealand, yesterday. China won... duh. I mean, New Zealand would probably have a chance if Yao Ming weren't on the Chinese team, but he is, and he's fabulous, and that's a mere understatement.

I remember first seeing him when he just joined the Houston Rockets, a couple of years or so back. He was like the Incredible Hulk with a basketball in his hands. He scored like, ten points in a single game, which is only mediocre at best. And more importantly, he was no match for Shaquille O'Neal, a.k.a one of the most annoying people to ever grace the surface of this earth, and one of the most overrated basketball players ever.

Okay, I plain detest him because I hate his team, but same difference lah.

So that was a couple of years back. Yesterday he scored 39 points. He would've hit 40 if he'd made the first of the last set of free throws that he was awarded towards the end of the game. He dominated the court and everyone knew it. China displayed a one-man show and everyone knew it. The Kiwis were absolutely no match for him, and they knew it: when some Kiwi dude snatched the ball out of Yao Ming's hands and dunked it over his head, that Kiwi dude laughed in his face.

What did Yao Ming do? He pushed the Kiwi dude, who fell on his arse, and the funniest part is that the referee didn't call a technical foul.

Bwa, ha, ha, ha, ha. Serves you right for messing with him. You shouldn't provoke someone who can kick your ass with one eye closed, one hand behind his back.

The dragon is rising. Wahoo. And the USA team was thrased by Puerto Rico a few days ago. Too bad they didn't televise that match, or I would've had a great time laughing.

I laughed like hell too yesterday during the first quarter. The Kiwis had this fast break and they totally blew it. Some dude missed an open lay-up. How lame is that?

To be fair, Yao Ming missed a dunk and I was laughing at that too but for the most part, he was brilliant. Without him, China would not even dare to dream of basketball Olympic brilliance. I mean, when he was taken out for a while in the last quarter China was crap.

Well, NZ was crap as well; neither team scored for like, two or three minutes, until a foul was called against NZ and this Chinese dude was awarded two free throws, but he missed one and made the other and that was the first basket of the fourth quarter.

Okay, my point is, I watched basketball yesterday and China won and that is great.

The commentors, however, annoyed me, but I shan't delve into that.

Anyway, school sucks, and I packed my papers and all and I need another file for Econs and I hate Maths and I skipped today's GP test (comprehension) as I wasn't arsed to waste my Wednesday afternoon doing something which is a total no-brainer and just to mark it myself and I don't really care if I get into trouble for it really really matters not, and yep, that's it.
