blow out

Property assignment is killing me. I only started on it today and so far all I have is two crappy and badly-written paragraphs that merely attempt to address the first three sentences of the one-and-a-half page long (okay so my hypens are all wrong) incomprehensible hypothetical. I want to die. Now. Please. Before the property adventures of Kiki, Yuki and Toru kill me.

Before I forget, major thanks to Reia for solving the song mystery! Now I don't have to debate internally over the major issue of "oh my god should I ask Xinghan? But my Chinese sucks leh! But he doesn't know English then how? But I don't dare to ask him lehz!" Well yeah you get the idea.

And speaking of the song, I bought my first song today. I found Augustana's MySpace, listened to the other songs, hated them, and decided to just download Stars and Boulevard. But I couldn't find any illegal sites and was too lazy to download things like limewire and whatever so in the end I went to Soundbuzz and bought the song for $1.99. For someone who downloads TV shows with reckless abandon and unreasonable happiness, I really do not like downloading music; I'd much rather buy CD's, failing which (i.e. I wise up and sample other songs in CD I want to buy before buying the whole CD and end up liking just one song) I'd just pay 2 bucks for a song. It's just 2 bucks after all.

Augustana kind of sucks actually. Even Stars and Boulevard isn't really that great a song; it just keeps getting stuck in my head which kind of figures since Xinghan's photo album is so nice to look at (aside: Saw a pic of this super super super handsome friend of his and almost fainted) and hence the song became infectious. I predict I'd tire of it a couple of weeks later. But anyway, Augustana is too soft and mainstream for my liking, and really, they're more pop than rock. If I wanted to listen to ballads I'd listen to Jay Chou or even Coldplay, thank you.

Also, MSN streamed the Season 3 premiere of Veronica Mars and I found a site that had it available for download (I hate streaming video; sorry Jake Kane) and I watched it yesterday and OMG VM IS THE BEST SHOW EVAZ!!112!!1111``@!!

Because it is. The episode felt slightly subdued and nothing much really happened until the last act and I didn't understand the Keith storyline and I'm not sure how I feel about the new guy but the episode was great all the same. Love Veronica, love the snark, love LoVe, love Logan, love Mac, love Keith, love Backup. Loved the throw-back to the Pilot and the whole 'always take Backup' thing. Isn't it wonderful when shows start referencing themselves? I think it is.

Downside: There was no Don Lamb and no Weevil. Noooo! How can you not have Lamb when he's a freaking (sorry, I meant FRACKING) series regular! Even more unforgiveably (is this a word? Who cares), HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE LAMB IN AN EPISODE WHEN HE'S SO HOT? Neptune truly isn't the same without its lazy, incompetent but oh-so-snarkily-delicious sheriff.

Well, it figured that there was no Weevil 'cause he couldn't have fit into the main storyline. But no Weevil is just...wrong. Like, on so many levels. He's such an integral part of the VM world that the episode felt slightly incomplete because of his absence.

Anyway I can't wait for the next episode which, very very sadly, will only be available TWO WEEKS FROM NOW. The premiere was suppposed to premiere on October 3 and it's still premiering on October 3 but due to some marketing stroke of genius or whatever they put the episode on MSN.

MSN also sucks because they didn't let me watch the episode just because I'm not in the USA. What gives? Stupid MSN. Thank goodness for resourceful and on-the-ball VM fans who quickly put the episode online on various sites. Otherwise I'd just curl up in one corner, cry myself dry, and then proceed to die.

Driving is fun. The weird thing is, I get so caught up in the act of driving that I forget to stop and let the implication of the action sink in. It feels surreal, now that I'm thinking about it. After spending my entire life being driven around, the fact that now I'm in the driver's seat is...I don't know, surreal. It's almost like a rite of passage, a testament to the fact that your biological clock is ticking, you're blowing out more and more candles on your birthday cake, and damn, you really are "growing up".

If it weren't as fun as it is, I'd hate driving for making me an adult.

Wait...despite it being fun, I hate driving for making me an adult. Who said I wanted to grow up? Fuck that.

I go to sleep and wake up with a blocked nose every bloody day. I hate my nose.

I don't wanna do the Property assignment.

I'm too lazy to swim today so I think I'll skip for one day.
